Verbs and it's classification- Finite English Program
Verbs
যে parts of speech দ্বারা কোন কাজ হওয়া বা করা বুঝায় তাকে Verb বলে। যেমন:-
eat, go, think etc
Verb কে আমরা প্রধানত দুইটি ধারায় ভাগ করতে পারি। যথা:-
(a) Finite Verb
(b) Non-finite Verb
(a) Finite Verb আবার দুই প্রকার :-
- Principal Verb (প্রধান Verb)
(1) I go to school.
(2) He visits zoo.
- Auxiliary Verb. (সাহায্যেকারী Verb)
(1) I can go to school.
(2) He must visit zoo.
(b) Non-Finite Verb আবার তিন প্রকার :-
- Gerund
(1) I saw him running on the door.
(2) Visiting zoo is always pleasure to me.
- Participle
(1) I saw the homework done by him.
(2) I saw a flying bird.
- Infinitive
(1) He is too week to walk
(2) I have huge money to lend you
Principal Verb আবার দুই প্রকার :-
- Transitive (Verbs with object)
(1) He reads newspaper everyday.
(2) I play football.
- Intransitive (Verbs without object)
(1) The birds are flying in the sky.
(2) The woman smiled at the man.
Auxiliary Verb আবার দুই প্রকার :-
- Primary Auxiliary. ( am, is, are, was, were, do, did, have, has, had, will, be, been, being,)
(1) I am a student.
(2) I have done the work.
(3) He was a student
(4) He did complete the work.
- Modal verbs ( Can, May, Might, Could, Shall, Will, must, ought to, need, need to, dare to, used to, have to, had to, be to etc)
(1) I can do the work.
(2) We must respect him.
(3) We need not interfere this matter.
(4) I used to go there.
