Interrogative Sentence কাকে বলে?
যে Sentence দ্বারা কোন প্রশ্ন করা হয় অথবা কোন কিছুর প্রত্যুত্তর পাওয়ার উদ্দেশ্যে জিজ্ঞেস করা হয় তখন তাকে Interrogative Sentence বলে। (Interrogatives are those kinds of sentence that ask question). যেমন :-
(a) Is he a student?
(b) Who is he?
© Does he go to school?
(d) Does he not go to school?
(e) Do they go to school?
Note - উপরে Interrogative sentence এর গঠন তিন ভাবে হয়েছে।
- কিছু interrogative sentence এ Auxiliary ( am, is, are, was, were, may, might, can, could, shall, should etc) দিয়ে গঠিত হয়।
- কিছু interrogative do/does দিয়ে গঠিত হয়।
- কিছু interrogative sentence W.H question দিয়ে গঠিত হয়।
Note - W.H questions হল যে word গুলোর প্রথম letter W বা H এবং যে words গুলো প্রশ্ন তৈরি করে। উল্লেখযগ্য W.H questions গুলো হল:-
What= কি Which= কোনটি Where= কোথায়
When= কখন। Why = কেন। Whom= কাকে
Whose = কার। Who= কে এবং How= কেমন
Note - Interrogative Sentence দুই ধরণের হয়। একটি হল Closed interrogative আর একটি হল Open interrogative. যে interrogative sentence এর উত্তর Yes/No হয়, তাকে Closed interrogative বলে। যে interrogative sentence এর উত্তর Person বা Subject ভেদে ভিন্ন হয়, তাকে Open interrogative বলে।

10. Leap Year means twenty-nine days in February.
11. S.M Sultan was born in Narail in 1923.

14. Reshma goes to her garment factory on foot..
15. Everyone wants to be happy.
